Google has added Instant Previews to specific mobile devices. Similar to Google Instant Previews for desktops, which Google implemented in November, the mobile version has a magnifying glass icon next to each site listing….

Google announced yesterday that it had changed the way it ranks search results so that unscrupulous merchants will find it harder to appear prominently in searches. The change was prompted by an article entitled, “A Bully Finds a Pulpit on the Web,” by David Segal in The New York Times….

Several people contacted me yesterday to ask if I’d read David Segal’s article in The New York Times. I had. And “A Bully Finds a Pulpit on the Web” is a public relations nightmare for Google search results….

In case you haven’t noticed yet, the look and feel of Google search results have changed. A post in the Official Google Blog by Marissa Mayer, VP Search Products & User Experience, says, “While we are constantly rolling out small changes and updates, today’s changes showcase the latest evolutions in our search technology, making it easier than ever to find exactly what you’re looking for.”…
