Google’s mobile ad business, AdMob, has conducted a survey of 1,431 users to find out how people use their tablet (devices). The survey found:Nearly half (43%) of those surveyed use their tablet more than their desktops Over 30% of users spent more time on their tablet than the time they spent watching television. 82% primarily use their tablets at home. 77% reported that their desktop usage declined after obtaining a tablet device….

The Google AdWords team has responded to requests from users to provide phone support to it’s advertisers, in addition to the online and email support already available. AdWords Phone Support details below: “To speak to one of our specialists, give us a call at 1-866-2Google between Monday-Friday, 9am-8pm Eastern Time. Microsoft today filed a formal complaint in Brussels accusing Google of curating a monopoly of the search market and unfairly promoting their own products. The chief concerns from Microsoft is the monopolization of YouTube indexing, the Android market, and Google advertising….

A civil liberties group in Australia is criticizing Google’s decision to pull ads by the Wilderness Society that brought attention to “a boycott against a paper manufacturer that uses wood sourced from Australian old growth forests,” the Sydney Morning Herald reported. The company to be boycotted – Australian Paper – contacted Google and the ads were pulled as they used brand names in their ad copy. “Google removed the ads saying that because the society did not own the trademark for the popular paper brand, Reflex, it could not use the name in its ads.”…

“ACE (AdWords Campaign Experiments) is a free tool that makes it easier to test and precisely measure the impact of changes to your keywords, bids, ad groups and placements,” that has just come out of a two month beta, Google stated on their Inside Adwords blog….

Google AdWords was found to abuse its dominant position on the French market and ordered to clarify both its rules and processes for advertisers, after a complaint by location data company Navx was filed with the French Competition Body, Autorité de la Concurrence.
