I’m not a shopper. My wife laughs at me because I can never find my way around the mall. I never know which entrance I came in or the way back out. This will never happen again, thanks to Bing Maps. In another one of those quiet additions to their search products, Bing started adding maps of shopping malls back in December….

I’m freshly back from SES New York and eager to make good use of the new information I’ve discovered. Surprisingly, the first thing I’m most eager to try out is not a marketing tactic or new social media concept. I’m ready to rediscover Bing. During the week of crazy networking that SES truly delivers on, I met up with Stefan Weitz, Director of Bing Search who showed me some pretty neat features. Bing has been making moves that have gone widely under the radar….

A hearing between Network Automation, Inc. v. Advanced Systems Concepts, Inc, in the United States Courts for the Ninth Circuit (California), brought forth a ruling that finally clears up buying competitor names, business names, and trademarked names in pay-per-click campaigns….

Bing has teamed up with Rovario, makers of the popular game “Angry Birds,” to push its search engine through four animated videos featuring Bing image search, maps, and shopping….

An HTML5-powered version of Bing is on the way, and the search engine is touting new features on a preview site that include “search previews as you type” (a.k.a., Instant Search), “animations that make search come alive,” and “seamless transitions between pages.”…

What’s always hot on the web? No matter where you are or how small a city it, what are users usually looking for? The answer is coupons. Bing is entering the coupon market by aggregating other coupon listings from many different networks. With over 200,000 deals in 14,000 cities and town all over the United States, since Bing has parterned with Dealmap to provide deals from Groupon, Restraurant.com, and Living Social, they are able to provide a valuable service right out of the gate….

Kayak co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Paul English said he welcomes Google in to the travel search space, but thinks his smaller company can be nimble and quicker to adapt to changes in the market and points out that Google does not have the best record when it comes to being successful with adding new services through acquisition. Kayak also has partnered with Bing to help them with travel search results….

Bing unveiled a nice little feature for searchers looking to travel. Auto-suggest results, built off of their price prediction algorithm, shows instant price ranges for flight prices….

Bing overtook Yahoo globally for the first time in January, and further expanded its lead in February, StatCounter announced today….
